One of my favorite things about the weather getting cooler is the chance 

to snuggle up inside next to a warm fire in the evenings.

We had our first fire of the season last night! We always get super excited about this event and set up tv trays and eat dinner out by the fire and then just cuddle on the couch. 

Unfortunately this year it was quite blustery outside and the wind kept wooshing down our chimney pushing smoke in to the room, which then set off our smoke alarms over and over again, which made our dog go into a frenzied panic and woke little miss Reaghan up. 

This required us to open our screen doors to let the smoke out which then let the cold air in.

 The evening wasn't quite as relaxing as we had anticipated.

But we just kept the screen door open, took down our alarms and cuddled closer under a blanket.

You've gotta learn to roll with the punches right? :)
